Craig to Host Northwest Colorado Brownfields Workshop

On November 4, the Colorado Brownfields Partnership will host its next regional Brownfields Workshop in Craig, bringing Brownfields resources, technical assistance, and funding information directly to communities across Northwest Colorado.

Building on recent successful workshops in Grand Junction and La Junta, the Craig workshop will bring together local officials, economic development professionals, community leaders, property owners, and state and federal partners for a practical discussion about identifying and advancing Brownfields opportunities. Representatives from CDPHE and EPA will be on hand to share resources and connect directly with communities and projects throughout the region.

The workshop will focus on the core areas of Financing, Planning, Training, and Cleanup, giving attendees practical tools to better understand the Brownfields redevelopment process. Topics will include environmental assessments, cleanup resources, funding and technical assistance opportunities, and strategies for moving underutilized or environmentally challenged properties toward productive reuse.

A special thank you to our workshop sponsors, Ayres and EIS, whose support is helping make the Craig workshop possible. Their experience and commitment to Colorado communities are an important part of bringing these resources directly to Northwest Colorado.

The Craig workshop is part of CBP’s broader effort to bring Brownfields resources directly to rural and underserved communities across the state. We look forward to another strong regional gathering on November 4 and to continuing the conversations that help Colorado communities turn Brownfields challenges into redevelopment opportunities.
