The Colorado Brownfields Partnership recently completed its planning effort for the former Public Works property in Parachute. With months of planning, market analysis, and community engagement, the finalized Action Plan has been submitted to the Town. Through the CBP, Parachute received technical assistance to evaluate environmental considerations, identify realistic reuse options, and outline clear steps to support downtown revitalization. The planning work explored mixed-use, community-serving, and public-amenity concepts while mapping out future infrastructure needs, potential partnerships, and brownfield funding opportunities. With the Action Plan complete and environmental assessments underway, the Town now has a clear roadmap to guide decisions, strengthen funding pursuits, and position the site for future redevelopment.
