Project Profile:
Parachute Public Works Site
Project Summary
The Colorado Brownfields Partnership supported the Town of Parachute in evaluating redevelopment opportunities for the former Public Works site, a centrally located property positioned to serve as a catalytic anchor for downtown revitalization. CBP reviewed site history, examined potential environmental considerations, and provided guidance to help the Town understand likely next steps related to due diligence and redevelopment readiness.
Through a collaborative planning process, CBP worked with municipal leaders, Community Builders, CDPHE, and local stakeholders to assess land use options, identify reuse concepts aligned with community goals, and outline near-term actions to advance the project. This early-stage analysis helped clarify redevelopment pathways, surface potential funding mechanisms, and ensure the site is positioned for future environmental assessment and investment.
