The Grand Valley Creative Alliance in Grand Junction has been awarded funding through the State’s 1306 Cleanup Program to support environmental cleanup efforts at a key redevelopment site. This investment will help address environmental conditions that have previously limited reuse, allowing the property to move closer to productive community use. The project reflects continued momentum in Mesa County to revitalize underutilized properties and advance creative, community-driven redevelopment.
In addition to this award, CDPHE is currently accepting applications for both the 1306 Cleanup Program and the ACM/LBP Pilot Grant Program this spring. The ACM/LBP program, open to rural communities, supports asbestos and lead-based paint assessment and cleanup and allows applications on behalf of privately owned properties, with applications due May 31 and up to $200,000 in funding available. The 1306 program continues to accept applications on a rolling basis, with a recommended submittal by mid-June for this year’s funding cycle. Approximately $250,000 in state funding is anticipated, with potential additional EPA funds available.
